ABOUT THE COALITION
Our Steering Committee
New Mexico Mining Watch is a state-wide coalition of groups and individuals
organized to watchdog mining permitting, exploration, operations, reclamation and remediation in New Mexico
and to actively address mining policy and regulation reform based on shared values and vision.

Multicultural Alliance for a Safe Environment (MASE)
MASE works with uranium-impacted communities to support cleanup of abandoned uranium mine sites and oppose new uranium development in the region.

Amigos Bravos
Amigos Bravos works to protect and restore New Mexico’s waters, hold polluters accountable, and strengthen community stewardship.

Southwest Research and Information Center (SRIC)
SRIC provides information and works with communities on the effects of energy development and resource exploitation on people, cultures, land, water, and air.

Gila Resources Information Project (GRIP)
GRIP works in communities, the courts, and the state legislature to protect community health, the environment, and natural resources.

New Mexico Environmental Law Center (NMELC)
NMELC provides free and low-cost legal services to frontline communities working to protect New Mexico’s air, land, and water.
